Link Student Ministries: 7th to 12th grade

Our purpose, mission, and vision as a student ministry is simply - Linking Families to God, Growth, and Service. We desire to minister to students, as well as their families. Linking Families to God, Growth and Service is a simple process to help lead students in becoming spiritually mature followers of Jesus Christ.

Step one

Step one is Wednesday Night Link, which meets from 6:45p - 8:00p. The goal of Wednesday Night Link is to lead students into a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. Wednesday Night Link is an evangelistic opportunity for those who are already Christians to invite their lost friends. In addition to presenting the Gospel, we teach seven irreducible minimums that we desire for every student to know and practice on a daily basis. These teaching points are: authentic faith, spiritual disciplines, moral boundaries, healthy friendships, wise choices, ultimate authority and others first. Our Wednesday Night Link starts with a game and transitions into a Bible study that centers around one of the seven irreducible minimums. We close our time by breaking into small groups based on age and gender, that reinforce the Bible study and their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Step two

Step two is our Sunday morning meeting, which meets from 9:15a - 10:15a. Both open and closed groups meet during this time. The purpose of both groups is to lead students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

The open group is open to anyone. In the open group, we teach verse by verse through different books of the Bible and conclude our time with open discussion.

Our closed groups, also known as Link Groups (L-groups), are groups chosen by the students. These students choose the material or topic they desire to learn more about. These L-groups are created for the purpose of creating open discussion among students and their leader. They are designed to create an intimate and safe environment to allow for more open discussion. The small groups typically consist of 3-6 students and a student leader to guide the teaching and discussion.

Step three

Our third step in the process leading and encouraging students and their familes to serve the Lord and His church. Our desire is to lead students to be obedient to Jesus Christ by becoming others-centered. We have many opportunities ready for students to serve. Our desire, as a student ministry, is to partner with students as they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, so that they and their families will become more committed to Christ and His church.
